The Harborne Carnival day is all about fun and family based entertainment and includes the following:

• Music – we showcase local groups, bands, singers – wide variation from Scottish pipers to rock bands, school based entertainers.
• Dance – Slots are allocated to local dance groups representing all sections if the diverse communities in Birmingham – Irish, Asian, modern, ballroom, latino, cheerleaders plus many more.
• Carnival Queen Contest – Each year there is a Harborne Carnival Queen Contest (details on request) and the schools run a Carnival Princess and Prince Competition. These are all designed to give the winners an ambassadorial role on the day.
• Carnival Parade: Held at 4.00 pm on the day and can include walking, marching bands and vehicle/floats.

There are three professional stages and a full programme runs from 09.30 – 17.30 on Carnival Day.
