About Harborne Carnival
Since it first began, the Harborne Family Carnival has enjoyed enormous success and welcomed crowds of up to 70,000 visitors who can enjoy a full day of family fun. Celebrating its 28th year, there will be something for everyone with entertainment including live music, arts and crafts, children’s activities, fairground rides, local community, and charity stalls and much, much more.
Paul Burgess MBE, Harborne Carnival Chair, said:
"Every year the Harborne Carnival Association reviews the feedback it has got from attendees and sponsors of the previous year’s Carnival. The feedback for the 2024 was the best ever, with everybody looking forward to 2025. The Carnival is not a City Council event, so we fundraise to manage all its costs. We are very grateful for the support from Cuppa Squad and the Priory Hospital. If you would like to participate or volunteer, please let us know."

Be a Part of Our Tradition
If you would like to get involved with the Carnival, in the days leading up to the event or during Carnival Day, then please get in touch. Let us know how you might be willing to help. It`s a great way of meeting new people and helping the local community.
Carnival Volunteers will be provided with snacks and drinks. You will receive a full information pack before the day and a
briefing on care, responsibilities, security, and wellbeing.
- Welcoming guests and taking donations at the entrances
- Bucket collections
- Entertainment on the day (groups or individuals - dance, sing, play music, school and university student performances)
- Setting up and taking down equipment, including gazebos, on the day
- Charity raffle donations
- Developing ideas and coordinating fundraising efforts for the Carnival Charity
- Broken/Unwanted jewellery collection
- Social media
- Photography/Videography
- Providing support at information points
- General marshalling duties
