Who We Are

Cuppa Squad is a Birmingham based charity supporting people living with diabetes. We are delighted to be this years charity for the Harborne Carnival and want to thank everyone for the support and especially the Priory.

As a charity, Cuppa Squad provides free health advice, encouragement and friendly support in local community groups and online. We aim to make living with long-term health conditions, such as diabetes, easier to understand, more manageable, and much less daunting. We know that sharing experiences with others, over a cuppa, really can do you good. We’re always delighted when Cuppa Squad members find their wellbeing improves and life becomes enjoyable again. That’s why we’re on a mission to make Cuppa Squad available to as many people as we can.

Comments from people who have attended our groups:

“I feel positive having heard everyone’s stories and got a bit more knowledge on how to tackle things, so it’s been good, I needed it. That little boost.”

"I definitely would come back again. I just think it’s really nice to be able to speak to people likewise who have the same condition and, you know, obviously that bounces information and ideas. But I enjoy the interaction with other people who understand this journey you’ve got to deal with and maintain.”

“Because I never met someone with diabetes before, it's nice to feel understood, knowing that someone else is going through what you’re going through.”
